What is copywriting?
Copywriting is the creation of tailor-made, original text for a wide variety of advertising, promotional and informative purposes.
It includes the written material required for brochures, corporate reports, announcements, advertising slogans, internal and external newsletters, web sites, press releases, and all other types of business communication.
So anyone can do it, right?
Wrong! First-rate communication is a complex business. It’s not just a matter of filling the blank page with words. They need to be the RIGHT words, which press all the right buttons for your readers and evoke the responses you want. And you don’t get two bites at the cherry. If you don’t hook the reader with the first few sentences, you could lose a potential customer.
